In every company a union is always present. They are composed of different workers in the company from the midle and lower class of workers. Most of the time these union are formed for a common cause of each employee so they will have a voice and it would be easy for them to comunicate to the higher department of the company just incase they have any disputes or complain how th company is managed interms of rules and regulation, benefits and about salary. It is not a group of people that are formed into union that will go against the company but a grouple of people that will have a single voice in case they need something from their higher mangament for a better working relationship between a company and workers.
Even before, union has already been a part of every company's growth. Basing from the history, the first union was established wayback 1866 and it was called the Natinal Labor Union. The other one was called the Knights of Labor and was founded in 1869. According to record, the most famous American Union that was founded is the American Federation of Labor and was established at 1886. Until the present days, unions has still the same purpose why they exist especially in big companies. They have the same advocacy, to end child labor, salary increase, develop standard of living and providing more benifits to the companies workers. And these agendas has been faught by those union eversince union exist.
In order for them to form a so called union, Workers Unite and they form goals and objectives as their common things that they need to fight for their rights as a workers and most of the time creat some great options or maybe cooperatives to help other employee that are in needs. Unions has also been a great help for all workers and labors since it has been there in supporting them to what ever sentiments each workers have and make their voice reach the higher depaertment as one. Most union has their own set of officers as well that will serve as a spoke person in case they need to talk to the higer department. These set of officers will be the one who will get all the common concern of each workers and gather them and call the attention of the higher department through letter or by their officers will talk directly to the management and see what would the mangaement could do for their concern. It is important that you know how union works and what are the pos and cons behind it, if the main purpose of it is for the good of all the lower class employee, union would be the best organization that could help everyone live in a decent life.
